Regarding the discussion of a word to describe a feeling of joy after a feared outcome that is not realized, I think that Grant was close when he said "relief" and "deliverance". Why not combine the two words into "reliverance"?
Or, if we wanted to give some more emphasis to the delightful nature of the feeling, how about a verb "relighten", producing a form, "I was really relightened when I found out that..."?

You know, I have to say that ever since we've had that conversation, I've been naturally reaching for my made-up word "gleelief," including when I thought I'd lost *my* passport! Nobody else here likes it?
