The Good (Cook) Book. During the 1800s some Christians began using scripture as a code for turning recipes into riddles. The practice is enjoying a comeback among some youth groups and parents as another way to learn about their faith.

Fascinating. Had no idea, but I could see where that'd be fun and a useful teaching tool. I assume it doesn't include recipes like "Locust Surprise!"
