These revisions of rhymes have been around for a long time. At least 15 years ago I used a version of this (probably about 10+ rewritten rhymes) to challenge my 5th graders to identify the rhyme. I think there was also a parr along version of this on the internet.
We never sang them, though!

Here's one we used to sing:
Propel, propel, propel your craft
Cautiously down the liquid solution;
Gleefully, happily, joyously, fulsomely,
Life is but a mirage in the night.
Actually I don't remember the third line; I'm just filling in as best I can.
