I have a question that might not be suitable for the show so I thought I would ask it here. What is the proper way to write the RJ codes under the Universal Service Ordering Code (USOC)?
Choices:
RJ11 or RJ-11
RJ45 or RJ-45
I cannot find a definitive source and... well, I can't call up Bell Labs and ask them! I did look through the AT&T site and found nothing so... I am coming to the lexicographically obsessed!
Can anyone point me to an authoritative reference?
I don't know why I went looking for this (the challenge?), but you can find a usage of "RJ11" (no hyphen) in this document (section 6.2.2), which is apparently the successor to earlier Bell Labs and FCC specs.
