I haven't seen your term in context, but my intuitive reaction to the subject line above was that it should refer to a candidate who shows a lot of promise, but fails the vetting process. I'm not saying that your definition isn't the correct one, but the term evokes something different in me. For your definition, I would expect ambivelection or aparty, or some such.

I know we are long overdue for the terms campaignful and candidate-raped.

e.g. In October, I can't watch network TV: it's too campaignful for me.
I know I voted for him, but then I was candidate-raped by him.
