Does anyone know of a specific word for the memory of a sensory feeling? Is there a word or short phrase for that?
Right now I'm thinking about "warmth" (e.g., the feeling of warmth on your hands from holding a mug of hot liquid, wrapping yourself in a towel fresh from the dryer, or the radiant heat from a campfire) but it could be any feeling.

Some medical practioners (including some of dubious credentials) talk about "body memory" as a thing. This looks like a decently academic paper on the subject that may lead you to an answer. Clinical Manifestations of Body Memories: The Impact of Past Bodily Experiences on Mental Health - PMC

That's quite a rabbit hole I'm down now. Thank you. (I think! 😆)
