hoodinked or hoodunk

My mother used the word 'hoodunk' (pronounced "who-dunk") the other day, and claims it is a regularly used word. I thought she meant "hoodwinked", but she said it's either 'hoodinked' ("who-dinked") or 'hoodunk'. Is this a Southern-ism that people outside of my family use, or did my mom confuse the word?

From her usage of the word, it appears to have a very similar meaning as "hoodwinked"--she was using it to indicate being taken advantage of, being duped, etc.

Any ideas?
