Does anyone know of a dictionary of scientific/mathematical terms that includes etymologies? I have seen nearly-synonymous terms that some dictionaries treat as synonymous, and I have seen authors use one word when the slightly different one was the correct one. Knowing etymologies will help to determine the history of different shades of meaning and rationalize a particular usage
