Do you teach with this site?

Just discovered the site. Wonder if anyone teaches, incorporating parts of the site into the lessons or course format. Poking around for ideas. I'll be teaching linguistics in the fall. Thanks.

We do, in fact, have a large number of educators who listen to the show, and even sometimes take calls from teachers who are standing in their classrooms in front of their students. We also get email all the time from linguists who consume it avidly (some of them are personal friends or colleagues, as I am plugged into the world of sociolinguistics through my non-radio work and through my involvement with the American Dialect Society). However, I haven't heard specifically about college-level educators who use the show as part of their syllabus.

There's definitely content I would recommend, though, if you want to use some of it illustratively and as a leavener for the dry content found in mosts textbooks. For just one example, my favorite call to introduce people to regional differences is this one:
