One generally doesn't hear a lot of Yiddish in West Texas, but I have encountered a little bit of it recently since I'm a grad student who is currently doing some research on stories by Bernard Malamud.

Yep, a good book, which is why the hardback version warranted inclusion on our recommended references pages.

I'll bet not, EF!

Yes, that book is a real pleasure. I remember particularly enjoying the chapter on Yiddish curses. Michael Wex's site has a lot of good stuff on it, too.
