Books given away for free at one of Britain's biggest warehouses. "The Bookbarn's owners say the lease of the building had expired, and that it was cheaper to give away remaining stock than try to resell it elsewhere. Many arrived armed with crates, boxes and even prams to carry their horde away, some managing 150 books in a single visit." So sorry I wasn't there! Free books!

Intriguing title. Could be anything. Novel? Sociology? Anthropology? Smut? Couldn't find it in Books in Print, nor on Amazon (US or UK).

I'm so jealous of people who got to partake of this generous offer.

Of course, where I live, there's a big annual "Friends of the Library" booksale that's almost the same thing (after the first couple of days of the sale, most of the books are free with a donation).
