In my family, we would never have used the word “butt†for that part of the body at the end of the spine. It would have been considered vulgar. We said “backside†or “derriere.†I still cringe when I hear “I'll kick your butt.†I heard from someone else that he grew up saying “BOO-tocks.†Did any of you have particular family euphemisms?
